Microsoft is going to release its Windows 10 update for desktop & smartphone devices in July end. In this update, Microsoft bringing support for fingerprint readers to Window 10 smartphones.
They named this feature as "Hello" which was introduced with windows 10 smartphones, using face detection(recognition) to unlock devices. As, fingerprint sensor feature is now an extremely popular feature among Android & iPhone users, which was a big miss in windows smartphones.
Microsoft has revealed at its WinHEC conference that they are launching fingerprint reader sensor support in the next Windows 10 smartphone updates in July. In order to work, the scanner will have to integrate with Microsoft's windows "Hello" functionality. The first windows device to run on the new update will be HP's Elite x3.
Apart from fingerprint functionality, the windows 10-anniversary update will bring lots of new features for its desktop & smartphones along with bug fixes. They are removing Wi-fi Sense's controversial password sharing feature with their new update. It will also add the functionality to download extensions on its edge browser, also bring real-time web notifications.
New features are available for testing in the latest preview release, & users with updated smartphones can be a part of the program to experience the updated version.
